We are less than a week away from SEC media days and Alabama is looking to be projected to win the conference for a seventh straight season.

The SEC media days are set to take place in Atlanta this year and begin on July 18. LSU, Ole Miss and Missouri are scheduled to kick off the festivities with Alabama on tap to speak to the media on Tuesday.

Alabama will be represented by safety Jordan Battle, Heisman winner Bryce Young and SEC Defensive Player of the Year Will Anderson along with head coach Nick Saban.

The media will also vote on who they think will win the SEC and the last six years the media has picked Alabama. The Crimson Tide have also been picked to win the league 10 out of the last 12 years.

The reigning SEC champions are expected to be the odds on favorite to repeat as champions again in 2022 making this the seventh straight year they are projected to win the SEC, as they return eight starters on defense and five on offense.

In 2015 Auburn was surprisingly projected to win the SEC with third year coach Gus Malzahn and quarterback Jeremy Johnson leading the Tiger offense. Despite the preseason hype the Tigers ended up finishing last in the SEC West, which was the first and only time that has happened since the rankings were released in 1992.
