Alabama Loses 2025 Running Back Commit
The Crimson Tide sits at 8-2 on the regular season and controls its own destiny in terms of the 12-team college football playoff. Despite the positive trajectory under first-year Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer, Alabama has lost its fourth commitment in a week, and third recruit in the class of 2025.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, 2025 running back Anthony "Turbo" Rogers has de-committed from the Alabama Crimson Tide and will pick between Ohio State and Georgia on early signing day in a few weeks.
Rogers committed in June of 2023 and was the lone recruit who did not de-commit from Alabama after former head coach Nick Saban retired in January 2024.
According to composite, Rogers is the No. 8 running back in the country, and a four-star recruit from Carver High School in Montgomery, Alabama.
His primary recruiter at Alabama was Crimson Tide running back coach Robert Gillespie.
Rogers was offered by Ohio State in April 2024 and visited the Buckeyes on November 9.
Alabama still has the No. 2 running back in the recruiting class, AK Dear, committed to the Crimson Tide.
