TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide is in the College Football Playoffs for the first time under new head coach Kalen DeBoer. In the second year of the 12-team playoff model, Alabama finished the regular season 10-2 with a loss to 5-7 Florida State and a loss to No. 8 Oklahoma. The Crimson Tide holds the best win in the country, with a road victory over the No. 3-ranked Georgia Bulldogs and three other wins against opponents ranked at the time of the game (Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Tennessee).

 

Alabama will be on the road in the first round of the playoffs after falling in the SEC Championship. Alabama's final resume looks like this.

No. 9 Alabama will face No. 8 Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, in the first round of the College Football Playoffs. It's a rematch of the Crimson Tide's 23-21 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners, played in Tuscaloosa on November 15.
