Alabama Makes Top Ten for Highly Coveted Four-Star DL

Alabama is back on the recruiting trail, trying to add to its sixth-ranked recruiting class. The Tide currently has five commits in the class of 2026, with two cornerbacks, one edge rusher, one defensive lineman, and one offensive lineman, according to On3 Sports.

Alabama is looking to add to the front four defensively, and is doing so by targeting one of the top defensive players in the Sunshine State - Florida.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama is among the top ten schools for highly coveted defensive lineman Kendall Guervil.

The Crimson Tide is joined in Guervil's top ten by three other SEC schools, two Big Ten Schools, and four ACC schools.

Guervil is a native of Fort Myers, Florida, playing his high school football at Fort Myers High School. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound defensive lineman holds offers from multiple top programs across the country, including every school in his top ten, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Indiana, among others.

Alabama first offered the No. 134 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class on October 23, 2024. Courtney Morgan and his primary recruiter, Freddie Roach, extended the offer to Guervil.

Guervil has yet to visit the Capstone, but has taken seven visits to Florida, one to Georgia, and one to Miami, and has official visits currently scheduled with Florida State, Georgia, Florida, and Texas later in the recruiting cycle.
