Alabama MBB to Host Yale in 2025

The Yale Bulldogs got a crack at the Auburn Tigers, defeating Alabama's cross-state rival in the 2024 NCAA Tournament 78-76 in the round of 64.

Now, the Bulldogs will get a crack at the Crimson Tide, with Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reporting that Alabama will host Yale as a part of the Crimson Tide's 2025-26 nonconference men's basketball schedule.

The date and time for the nonconference bout have not been announced yet.

The matchup will be the first time since 2008 that the Crimson Tide and the Bulldogs have lined up on the hardwood. Alabama hosted Yale during the Tide's 2008 nonconference schedule, where Alabama secured a 66-63 victory at home in Coleman Coliseum.

Alabama senior Alonzo Gee scored 20 points in the victory over Yale, and three other Crimson Tide players (Senario Hillman, Ronald Steele, JaMychal Green) all scored double-digit points to help lead Alabama to victory.

Alabama's current nonconference slate for the men's basketball season stands at:

Alabama is coming off a season where Nate Oats led the Tide to an Elite Eight appearance. It was the second consecutive Elite Eight appearance, and the third ever in Alabama men's basketball history.
