Alabama MBB Schedules Neutral Site, Two-Game Series With Iowa
Alabama men's basketball will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, this season for a neutral site matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes after a two-game, neutral site series was announced on the Crimson Tide's social media page on Thursday afternoon.

Alabama and Iowa will face off in the Casey's Center on Monday, December 21, with a tip-off time slated to be announced closer to the game. The two-game series will see the Hawkeyes make a return trip to the state of Alabama at a later date, with the second game set to be played in Mobile, Alabama, at the Regions Center, which will open before the 2027-28 men's basketball season.
According to a release by the University of Alabama, the Crimson Tide and the Hawkeyes have faced off twice before, splitting the matchups. Both matchups took place at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, with Alabama defeating Iowa in 2006, 72-60, but the Hawkeyes got revenge in 2010, defeating the Crimson Tide 55-47.
The matchup in the Casey's Center is the first game Alabama will play in the state of Iowa, coming one season after both programs advanced to the Sweet 16 of the men's NCAA tournament last season. Alabama fell to Michigan in the Sweet 16, while Iowa defeated Nebraska but fell to Illinois in the Elite Eight.
