Life in the SEC is tough, especially for a prestigious program like the Alabama Crimson Tide. Year in and year out, they face constant scrutiny, which puts pressure on every game. However, this pressure creates opportunities for greatness. In this case, "greatness" refers to viewership, and the Tide have attracted a significant audience for each game this season. Two of their games, in particular, have ranked among the most-watched college football games of the 2025 season through week seven.

On Wednesday, On3 posted a graphic on X featuring the top ten most-watched college football games this season, with the Crimson Tide appearing twice, with both games surpassing 10 million viewers.

No.6 Alabama @ Georgia (10.42 Million Viewers)

The sixth most-watched game of the season, drawing 10.42 million viewers, was Alabama's road matchup against No. 5 Georgia on September 27th. In this exciting game, Alabama defeated Georgia with a final score of 24-21. One notable moment was a bold call by Alabama's offensive coordinator, Ryan Grubb, in the first half, with the Tide facing a first and ten inside the Bulldog's 20-yard line, Grubb called for a screen pass to Alabama's left tackle, Kadyn Proctor. This play resulted in a first down for Alabama within Georgia's five-yard line. This led to a two-yard rushing touchdown from Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson to give the Tide a ten-point lead going into halftime.

This game featured Simpson playing lights out, with a three-touchdown performance (two passing and one rushing) and passing for 276 yards, and marked the debut of the Crimson Tide's senior running back, Jam Miller, who suffered a collarbone injury in fall camp. Miller went on to have a solid performance and played a vital role in closing out this game with a crucial first-down reception on 3rd and five with 1:29 left in the game, which ultimately sealed the contest and allowed the Tide to line up in victory formation and take the win.

No.4 Alabama @ Florida State (10.7 Million viewers)

The second Alabama game listed in On3's graphic was the Crimson Tide's season opener against Florida State, which ranked fourth for most-watched college football games of the 2025 season, with 10.7 million viewers tuning in to Alabama's 31-17 loss to the Seminoles.

In his first-ever start for Alabama, Simpson and the Crimson Tide faced a challenging game, completing less than half of his passes and achieving a quarterback rating of 47.6 in a lopsided loss. Gus Malzahn, the former head coach of Auburn and UCF, who is now the offensive coordinator at Florida State, devised an effective offensive game plan for the Seminoles, leading Florida State to rush for 230 yards and score four touchdowns on the ground. However, there was a bright spot for the Tide: wide receiver Germie Bernard, who had an impressive performance, recording 146 yards.

There will likely be more games for Alabama in the 2025 season that finish in the top ten in viewership, especially with the Tide facing another significant rivalry this weekend against No. 11 Tennessee. Additionally, there's a crucial matchup scheduled for November 8th against No. 10 LSU, as well as two more challenging games in the same month: one against No. 14 Oklahoma on November 15th, and of course, the Iron Bowl on November 29th. This latter game has the potential to attract a large national audience, especially if Hugh Freeze and the Tigers can find their rhythm on offense leading up to the matchup.
