After three days off for the holiday break the Alabama football team will return to practice Wednesday in preparation for 2013 BCS National Championship game on January 7th.

The Crimson Tide will meet the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Miami Gardens, Fla, a team that started the regular season unranked and propelled themselves into the national title game after climbing the rankings into the number one spot.  One of the big reason’s for the Irish’s success has been a balanced offense and when the South Bend Tribune’s Eric Hansen joined The Game he noted that if Notre Dame is to have any success against Alabama, the Irish need to maintain their balance.

In 2012 Notre Dame has become a team that has struggled passing the football, ranking 81st in the country. Even with those struggles, Hansen believes that with the growth of Notre Dame’s passing game, loading up the line of scrimmage may no longer be an option.

In 2012 Alabamahas also been noted for their balanced offense as well, rushing for 2920 yards on the season while throwing for 2788.  Alabama meets Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship game on January 7th, 2013.  You can hear the Crimson Tide Sports Network’s coverage of the game on 95.3 FM, 99.1 FM and 790 WTSK.
