It's a tough slate for Alabama, with arguably its toughest games coming on the road at Arkansas, Tennesee, and Texas. Alabama does get some good home games though, with the Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooners coming to Tuscaloosa.

Alabama will also have home games against Auburn, Kentucky, and Mississippi State, but will have to play all three on the road as well. The full list of SEC opponents for Alabama men's basketball can be found here.

Alabama was 25-12 last season and 13-5 in conference play during the 2023-2024. The Crimson Tide will get another tough road schedule, how do they match up against each SEC opponent for the 2024-2025 season?

Who are the toughest games on the schedule for Alabama Men's Basketball?

1. At Auburn

The Iron Bowl of basketball has begun to have the allure and hype of the Iron Bowl in football, and Bruce Pearl and Nate Oats are both good for the rivalry because they have both teams prepared for a strong performance every season. With Auburn returning Johni Broome, who is a talented player and likely the face of the Auburn Tigers in 2024, Grant Nelson and Clifford Omoruyi will have their hands full.

2. At Arkansas

Arkansas and Alabama have a strong rivalry in college basketball, but the relationship between Nate Oats and Eric Musselman primarily drove it. With how tough Kentucky has been in past seasons with John Calipari, that's how difficult it will be to play in Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, as Arkansas took Coach Cal, his coaching staff, and almost all of his players from Kentucky. Coach Cal is still one of the top coaches in college basketball, and Alabama will face one of its toughest opponents of the season when they travel to Fayetteville.

3. At Kentucky

Despite the loss of Coach Calipari and a majority of the roster, Kentucky still has the allure of being a blueblood in college basketball. Mark Pope might be in for a tough adjustment in year one, but Rupp Arena is still one of the toughest places to play in college basketball, and Alabama got the full force of Rupp last season with a 25-point loss despite scoring over 90. Pope is putting together a strong roster in Lexington, and Wildcat fans will be excited for a new era of Kentucky basketball.

4. At Tennessee

Tennessee lost two of its top players from last season in Dalton Knecht and Jonas Aidoo, but Rick Barnes always has the Volunteers ready when the Crimson Tide come to town. Tennessee is another venue that is one of the toughest in the SEC, and Alabama seems to play there every season. The losses of Knecht and Aidoo keep Tennessee from being higher on the list but make no mistake, the defending SEC regular season champions will have another strong roster again in 2024.

5. At Texas

Nate Oats and Alabama have yet to play at Texas during his tenure, but Texas does hold a 2-0 series lead over the Crimson Tide from the Avery Johnson days when Alabama played a home-and-home with the Longhorns. Texas was a tournament team last season and is an unfamiliar environment for Nate Oats and his team. It will be interesting to view the schedule and see how Oats and the Tide will handle the trip to Austin, especially if it is not around the same time as Alabama's trip to College Station.
