Alabama Offers Top Quarterback in 2027 Recruiting Class
The Crimson Tide is still on the hunt in the 2026 recruiting class, flipping four-star quarterback Jett Thomalla from Iowa State on Tuesday. Alabama continued to do work on quarterbacks on Tuesday, hosting five-star quarterback and the No. 1 prospect in the 2027 recruiting class on Tuesday, Elijah Haven.

Haven, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound quarterback from Dunham School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is the top recruit in the 2027 recruiting class. He is ranked as the No. 1 quarterback in the class as well, already holding offers from 14 Division I collegiate programs. On Tuesday, the Tide became one of the 14, offering the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, prospect a scholarship.
Haven has already visited Alabama once, when he was on campus for the Tide's 41-34 victory over Georgia on September 28. He's also taken visits to his hometown team, LSU, Michigan, and Alabama's cross-state rival, the Auburn Tigers.
Haven was on campus working out for the Crimson Tide's coaching staff on Tuesday, where he received the official offer from the Tide's coaching staff. He's the fourth quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class to receive an offer from Alabama, joining Carmel Catholic (Illinois) quarterback Trae Taylor, Thompson (Alabama) quarterback Trent Seaborn, and Marcus (Texas) quarterback Colton Nussmeier. Colton Nussmeier is the younger brother of LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
As a sophomore in 2024, Haven was named National Sophomore of the Year, leading Dunham to a 14-1 record and Louisiana's Division III Select State Championship Game. He completed 60.7% of his passes for 3,093 yards and 37 touchdowns, rushing for 925 yards and 19 touchdowns in his sophomore campaign.
