On Wednesday, Alabama football head coach Kalen DeBoer said that Alabama tight end Josh Cuevas would be "available" for the Crimson Tide on Friday night for the College Football Playoff game against the Oklahoma Sooners. Additionally, tight end Danny Lewis Jr. will be available after Lewi has battled injury all season.

Cuevas, a 6-foot-3, 256-pound tight end from Los Angeles, California, has caught 30 passes for 341 yards and four touchdowns this season for the Crimson Tide. Alabama has needed Cuevas in several key moments this season, including a game-tying two-point conversion against South Carolina. Cuevas's last game action was on November 15 against Oklahoma in the Tide and the Sooners' first matchup, finishing the game with six receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.

On Wednesday night's availability report, both Cuevas and Lewis were listed as "probable," echoing the sentiment of head coach Kalen DeBoer on Wednesday.
