Remember three months ago when people were talking about Alabama's declining ability to recruit?

Well Nick Saban has answered the challenge thus by picking up a number of highly-rated prospects over the past month. The Alabama staff made another move on Wednesday when Clay-Chalkville defensive tackle DJ Dale announced his decision to stay in state and play for the Crimson Tide.

The pickup gives Alabama 12 total commitments for the class of 2019 and puts them right back at the top of the recruiting rankings heading into the offseason.

The most notable thing about this year's class early on is that Saban has recruited the state of Alabama very heavily. With the addition of Dale, the team now has six players from the state after having just two in the 2018 class. There are still a number of highly-rated recruits still undecided so that number could continue to increase.
