Alabama Radio Broadcaster Joins Cochran’s Staff at UWA
Livingston, Ala. - The Crimson Tide Sports Network prides itself on hiring former players as sideline reporters. From our show host Christian Miller to Damien Harris accepting the job briefly, and Damion Square last season.

Square traveled with the Crimson Tide Sports Network last season as the sideline reporter for both home and away games. Square played under former Alabama head coach Nick Saban from 2009-2012, where he totaled 91 total tackles and 7.5 sacks as a member of Saban's ferocious defensive line.
He spent eight seasons in the NFL as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, San Diego and Los Angeles Chargers, and Las Vegas Raiders.
Square also worked with former Alabama strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran, who is now the head coach at the University of West Alabama. Square may be working with Cochran again, as Brody Smoot of Touchdown Alabama reports Square is set to join Cochran's staff in Livingston.
Square is the second former Alabama player to join Cochran's staff. Thomas Fletcher, a former long snapper at Alabama as a member of the undefeated 2020 national championship team, was hired as Cochran's special teams coordinator as well.
It will be exciting to see how Square and Cochran develop the foundation for what will likely be a formidable defense at the Division II level at West Alabama.
West Alabama's spring game is set for March 12.
