Alabama RB Commit has Change of Heart, Decides to Stay Home
Three-star running back Jace Carizio flipped his commitment from Michigan State to Alabama just last week, but the decision was not sitting right with him, as he has now changed his mind once again.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Clarizio has flipped his commitment back to Michigan State and has filled out his letter of intent to play for the Spartans.
Clarizio would have been the second running back committed to the Crimson Tide this cycle, with four-star running back Akylin Dear committed to the Crimson Tide from Mississippi.
Clarizio, a 6-foot, 190-pound running back from East Lansing, Michigan, is rated as a three-star prospect according to composite and is the No. 469 ranked overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle. He is rated as the No. 35 overall running back in the class.
Clarizio had visited the Crimson Tide on November 16, when Alabama faced Mercer in a 52-7 whipping of the Bears.
