Tuscaloosa, AL - Ryan Williams burst onto the scene as a true freshman for the Crimson Tide, leading the team in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns on the season.

He has often been compared and contrasted with Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, as the best freshmen in the country. Both receivers received honors on Friday, being named freshmen All-Americans by On3 Sports.

Williams ended his regular season with 45 catches for 857 yards and eight receiving touchdowns, averaging 19 yards per reception. He also added four carries for 48 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, ending the season with a total of 49 touches for 905 total yards and 10 total touchdowns.

Williams has the most receiving yards by an Alabama wide receiver since Jameson Williams had 1,572 in 2021.

Ryan Williams also is a finalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award. The winner will be announced on December 26.
