Alabama Schedules Game with Final Four Team
The Alabama Crimson Tide are getting nuggets released about their men's basketball schedule, with Nate Oats continuing his trend of scheduling tough matchups for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Another schedule nugget has dropped, with Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reporting that Alabama and Purdue are scheduling a home-and-home, with Alabama heading to Indiana in 2024, and Purdue coming to Tuscaloosa during the 2025-2026 season.
Both teams made the Final Four in 2024, with both teams falling to the same fate - defeat at the hands of the UConn Huskies. Alabama lost in the Final Four and Purdue lost in the national championship.
Alabama and Purdue faced off in Canada last season, and the Boilermakers won that matchup 92-86. Zach Edey led Purdue, that night with 35 points, while Mark Sears led Alabama in points with 35 as well. Edey is off the the NBA, but Alabama could return Sears to the lineup.
Alabama's schedule is beginning to come into frame, with a home game against Creighton, a road game at Purdue, a "neutral" site game against Illinois in Birmingham, and the MTE in Las Vegas set. Alabama will also play an ACC team in the SEC/ACC challenge.
