The Volunteers defeated the Crimson Tide 24-17 in Knoxville, Tennessee. With the 2022 victory, Tennessee has now defeated Alabama twice in three season, after ending a 15-year losing streak in 2022.

Notable News: 

Dating back to 1901, this rivalry carries even greater significance this year as quarterbacks Ty Simpson and Joey Aguilar lead the Southeastern Conference in passing yards. Aguilar tops the list with 1,680 yards, closely followed by Simpson with 1,678. While this is the oldest series in college football, this Saturday will only be the 14th time the two teams have met as ranked opponents.
