Fourth Straight NCAA Tournament For Alabama Women’s Basketball Team
Alabama women's basketball continues its postseason run, marking its fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. It's the fifth time in the last six seasons that coach Kristy Curry's squad has heard its name called on Selection Sunday.

The Crimson Tide earned a No. 6 seed in the tournament and is set to face No. 11 seed Rhode Island in the first round. The game is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the KFC Yum! Center at 1:30 p.m.
Alabama is in the Region 3 bracket, which includes No. 1 Texas vs. No. 16 Missouri State/Stephen F. Austin, No. 8 Oregon vs. No. 9 Virginia Tech, No. 5 Kentucky vs. No. 12 James Madison, No. 4 West Virginia vs. No. 13 Miami (Ohio), No. 3 Louisville vs. No. 14 Vermont, No. 7 North Carolina State vs. No. 10 Tennessee, and No. 2 Michigan vs. No. 15 Holy Cross.
The first two rounds will be played in Louisville, and the winners will advance to the Sweet 16 in Forth Worth, Texas. If the Crimson Tide wins in Louisville, they will make their first Sweet 16 appearance since 1998.
Alabama is among 10 SEC teams in the women's NCAA Tournament, along with Texas, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, LSU, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia, highlighting the SEC's strong presence and the growth of its women's basketball programs.
