Kam Jones, Marquette
Braden Smith, Purdue
Zakai Zeigler, Tennessee

The Bob Cousy Award is presented annually to the nation's top point guard in collegiate men's basketball.

The award, initially implemented in 2003, is named after six-time NBA Champion Bob Cousy. Cousy played for the Boston Celtics from 1950-1963.

Other notable winners of the Bob Cousy Award include:

Jalen Brunson, Villanova
Ja Morant, Murray State
Peyton Pritchard, Oregon
Tristen Newton, UConn

Newton is the most recent winner, playing his senior season of college basketball for the back-to-back NCAA men's college basketball champions, the UConn Huskies.

Alabama has never had a Bob Cousy Award winner. UNC and UConn are tied with the most winners all-time, with three apiece.

Sears has started all 29 games for Alabama so far this season, playing 32.4 minutes per game while scoring 19.1 points per game. He is also contributing three rebounds and five assists per game while shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from three-point range.

Sears is in his third season at Alabama after transferring to the Crimson Tide from Miami, Ohio.
