The brand-new Alamite Hotel will bring two new restaurant concepts to downtown Tuscaloosa that promise to offer French-styled fine dining downstairs and a casual indoor and outdoor rooftop lounge, both of which are set to open in mid-September.

According to a release from representatives of the brand, Forté: Cuts and Cocktails will offer "a French Brasserie-meets-steakhouse inspired menu," with dishes, including steak au poivre, beef bourguignon and steakhouse signatures including house dry-aged ribeye and filet mignon cuts.

"Forté gives a nod to classic brasserie cooking – but we’re taking the dishes that everyone loves out of the museum and modernizing them with a fresh spin," said Jacob Stull, the executive chef of both restaurants.

The release states the menu will pay homage to seasonal and local ingredients and can be paired alongside a "thoughtful wine list and an upscale bar program."

Roll Call, the rooftop bar and restaurant, will offer "sharable small plates" including sushi, wood-fired pizza and sliders, alongside craft cocktails, local and craft beer and artisanal wines by the glass.

“Roll Call will undoubtedly be the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night,” Stull said.

According to the release, Forté will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week and will offer brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Roll Call will be open Wednesday through Saturday.

The Alamite, a Marriott premium Tribute Portfolio hotel, is backed by a group of partners, including Nick and Terry Saban, who assisted with the financing of the boutique hotel.
