Ty'Jarian Williams, Jatavis Colvin, and Tyquan Simon have led the Yellow Jackets. Williams, the quarterback for the football team, has been a force in the paint and has spread the floor by making 3-pointers, which has helped. Colvin is a pure scorer from everywhere on the court, whether he's shooting the 3-pointer, hitting mid-range jumpers, or attacking and finishing hard at the rim. Simon is a 6-foot-3 all-around athlete who can run the point guard position, attack at will, and make shots, making it challenging to guard the junior.

By defeating B.B. Comer in the opening round (53-45) and Vincent in a tight game (42-40), Aliceville advanced to the regional finals. The Yellow Jackets are hoping to continue their momentum and win the school's first-ever state basketball championship with one game remaining to advance to the Class 2A state playoffs' final four.
