Artist Draws Bryant-Denny Stadium from Every Win Since 1892
Art of Words artist Dan Duffy presented his brand new artwork as a tribute to Alabama's national championship. Duffy created a diligent, handwritten piece of Bryant-Denny Stadium with the date, score and opponent of every win since 1892.
Duffy spent over 200 hours on the different steps of the piece, including; research, sketching and coloring. Duffy created a distinctive gift for all generations of fans to bond over. With 958 games in total, Crimson Tide fans of all ages can relive some of the best wins that happened in the stadium.
Duffy said he wanted to honor one of the most iconic sport's programs in the country in a press release.
"It all starts with the fans which is why they're the centerpiece of the image, a sea of 10,000+ in Crimson and White. Additionally, the Walk of Champions was a must to include, honoring the winning culture that Alabama proudly represents," stated Duffy. "And finally, a nod to Bear Bryant-after all the stadium was named after him! To all of the Crimson Tide students, fans, and alumni, I hope you enjoy spending your time finding your favorite games."
Bryant-Denny Stadium is also part of Duffy's ultimate goal to re-draw every significant sports stadium in history. Duffy also released a time-lapse video from his first sketch to the final product. Duffy donates a portion of the proceeds to many different charities. For more information on the stadium print, checkout their artofwords.com for more information.
