Conferences are nailing down the plans for the 2020 season. The ACC is opting for a 10 game conference schedule with one additional non conference game, according to Brett McMurphy of watchstadium.com.

The ACC will invite Notre Dame into the conference as a temporary member in order to help them fill out their schedule and make up for lost games. The Irish will reportedly share their NBC television revenue with the rest of the ACC in exchange.

The ACC will begin its season on labor day weekend, and play its championship game either December 12 or 19, depending on postponements.

The ACC will do away with divisions this year and instead take the top two records in the league to play for the championship. Notre Dame is eligible to compete in the championship game and also eligible for the automatic bid to the Orange Bowl if they win the league.

The league has four marquee rivalry games against the SEC which their plus one model will preserve. Clemson vs. South Carolina, Louisville vs. Kentucky, Georgia Tech vs. Georgia and Florida State vs. Florida. The onus is now on the SEC to decide if they will play out of conference games or not.

Ross Dellenger reported that the SEC would be playing a 10-game conference only schedule, which would mean those rivalry games would go by the wayside.
