Backup Alabama Safety Enters Transfer Portal
Alabama backup safety King Mack has entered the transfer portal, according to On3 Sports.
Mack will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after spending one year in Tuscaloosa as a member of the Crimson Tide. He previously transferred to Alabama after playing his freshman season at Penn State.
Mack was a four-star, top-90 prospect coming out of high school in the 2023 recruiting class as a 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
During his single season in Tuscaloosa, Mack saw action in all 12 regular season games for Alabama but did not participate in Alabama's Reliaquest Bowl loss to Michigan. During his 12 games, Mack primarily saw work on special teams and played defense in spurts and during blowouts.
Mack finished the 2024 season with 14 total tackles.
