Bama in the Big Leagues: Final Week of the Regular Season
One week remains until the 2017 Major League Baseball regular season comes to an end and the postseason begins.
The playoff picture looks clearer with seven days to go as the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Houston Astros and Cleveland Indians have punched their ticket to the playoffs. In the National League, the Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks will appear in the postseason.
With less than a week to go, the Chicago Cubs appear to be in great position to clinch the NL Central with a 5.5 game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers and six game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Over the past week, Alabama alum and New York Yankees reliever David Robertson had a stellar week firing 3.3 scoreless and hitless innings while striking out seven batters out of the bullpen against Minnesota and Toronto.
Find out how Alabama’s other former stars fared this week around MLB.
