Bray Hubbard Named Preseason All-American

Veteran Alabama defensive back Bray Hubbard has been named to the Second-Team Preseason All-American by Sporting News, according to a post by the University of Alabama on Thursday morning.

It's the first preseason All-American recognition for Hubbard this season, matching his All-SEC recognition from the SEC Media Poll in Tampa, Florida, during SEC Media Days.

Hubbard was a premier playmaker for the Crimson Tide during his junior season in 2025, starting all 15 games for defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, where he totaled 79 tackles, a team-leading 4 interceptions, 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, six pass breakups, and three forced fumbles. Hubbard was consistently making plays at the right time to help Alabama last season, including a game-clinching forced fumble in the Iron Bowl.

Hubbard looks to expand his role on the Crimson Tide's defense this season, serving not only as one of the best playmakers in Kane Wommack's secondary, but potentially serving as a captain for the Crimson Tide, helping Alabama advance to the College Football Playoff yet again.
