Hubbard won the award alongside LSU safety Dashawn Spears. It's Hubbard's first weekly honor of his career.

He played a key role in slowing down a Wisconsin passing attack that had seen some success with quarterback Danny O'Neil this season. Alabama's defense allowed just 209 total yards of offense on Saturday, limiting the Badgers to 117 yards through the air and 92 yards rushing on the day.

Hubbard collected two interceptions against the Badgers with eight total return yards. He is one interception away from tying his career-high total of three from the 2024 season. He has tied his career high in pass breakups with two so far this season.

Hubbard was flying around for the Crimson Tide's defense, totaling five tackles, with NFL analysts noting that he played like a "maniac" against the Badgers.

Pro Football Focus graded Hubbard at a 92.0 in pass coverage, allowing just one catch on five targets.

Hubbard and Alabama will have a bye week this week before traveling to Georgia to take on the Bulldogs on September 27.
