Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is not expected play on Sunday vs. Seattle, per the team.

The rookie injured his ankle in Carolina's 20-17 loss against the Saints on Monday Night Football. Young missed his second straight practice today.

13-year NFL vet Andy Dalton will start Sunday for Carolina, with Jake Luton likely assuming backup duties.

Through two games this season, Young's performance has been underwhelming - especially compared to fellow rookies C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson. However, this can be largely attributed to lackluster wide receiver play and vanilla scheming.

The severity to Young's injury is still unknown.

This will be Young's second missed game in his collegiate and pro career. The first being against Texas A&M last season.
