Former Alabama QB Bryce Young Makes NFL Top 100 Debut After Third Season
Former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young makes his NFL Top 100 debut after his third season with the Carolina Panthers, being named the No. 98 best player in the NFL, as voted on by his peers in the league.

The former first overall pick out of the University of Alabama led the Panthers to an NFC South title last season, earning Carolina a home playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. While the Panthers fell to the Rams, Young showed he's taking the next step to be a franchise quarterback for a Carolina team that's been searching for one since Cam Newton's departure. Young had the best season of his NFL career in year three last year, completing 63.6% of his passes for 3,011 yards and 23 touchdowns while adding 216 yards and two scores with his legs.
His top performance came in a 30-27 overtime victory against the Atlanta Falcons on the road last season, where he completed 68.9% of his passes for 448 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions against the Falcons. Young has not lost to the Falcons as a starting quarterback since he made his NFL debut in week one of the 2023 season.
Since 2023, Young has led the most comeback drives out of any quarterback in the NFL with 12. It's a spot Young is familiar with from his days with the Crimson Tide, with Bryce Young's Heisman moment during the 2021 season coming with less than two minutes left against the Auburn Tigers on the road, where Young led a 97-yard drive, capped by a touchdown pass to Ja'Corey Brooks, when Alabama eventually defeated Auburn 24-22 in the Iron Bowl.
Young was a two-year starter for the Crimson Tide, throwing for 8,356 career yards and 80 touchdowns. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2021, the first Alabama quarterback to win the prestigious award, as well as the Davey O'Brien Award, the Manning Award, and the Maxwell Award. Young was named SEC Offensive Player of the Year, AP Player of the Year, and was a Consensus All-American in 2021.
