Troy at Appalachian State - Improbable Hail Mary Saves the Mountaineers
Appalachian State has been the team to watch as the season continues, as the Mountaineers always find a way to make their games entertaining from start to finish. The spot of ESPN’s “College Gameday” did not disappoint this week. The Trojans appeared to have the win in the bag, but elected for an intentional safety with 22 seconds remaining, allowing the Mountaineers one final chance. A 53-yard hail mary from Chase Brice to Christan Horn capped off a crazy fourth quarter, and gave us an incredible radio call from Appalachian State announcers.
Final- Troy 28, Appalachian State 32

South Alabama at UCLA - Questionable Play Call Ruins Jaguars Upset Bid
Another game showcasing questionable coaching at the end of the game. South Alabama was up by 2 with just over 3 minutes to play when they decided to attempt a fake field goal. Holder Tanner McGee was sacked for a big loss, giving the Bruins favorable field position and all 3 of their timeouts still remaining. UCLA drove down the field and escaped with the win thanks to a field goal from kicker Nicholas Barr-Mira as time expired.
Final- South Alabama 31, UCLA 32
BYU (12) at Oregon (25) - Bo Nix Explodes for 5 Total Touchdowns
Bo Nix came to play against the 12th ranked BYU Cougars this week, erupting for 5 total touchdowns (2 passing, 3 rushing). It’s the second-straight week the former Auburn quarterback accounted for 5 touchdowns, doing it last week against Eastern Washington. BYU trailed by 31 points entering the fourth quarter, but scored a pair of garbage-time touchdowns to reduce the margin. This game was not particularly close, although the final score may not reflect that.
Final- BYU 20, Oregon 41
Missouri State at Arkansas (10) - Bobby Petrino’s Return Puts Razorbacks on the Ropes
Bobby Petrino returned to Arkansas for the first time since being fired back in 2012, but this time as head coach of the Missouri State Bears. Petrino’s squad came to play on Saturday, and had Arkansas on upset alert for the majority of the game. The Bears held the lead for the entirety of the first half, and held a 10 point lead early into the 4th quarter. Arkansas took the lead and eventually the game thanks to 2 touchdowns from KJ Jefferson and an 82-yard punt return from Bryce Stephens.
Final- Missouri State 27, Arkansas 38
