Alabama Freshman Offensive Lineman Not With Team
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- On Monday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer announced that freshman offensive lineman Chris Booker is not currently with the program.

"Booker right now is not with our football team," DeBoer said. He did not provide any additional context for Booker's dismissal.
Chris Booker was a four-star offensive lineman who signed with Alabama as a member of the Tide's 2026 recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 288-pound interior offensive lineman from Hapeville Charter High School in Atlanta, Georgia, was rated as a four-star prospect and was the No. 10 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the 247 Sports composite ranking. He held offers from numerous SEC teams, including the Crimson Tide, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss, with 16 total offers.
Booker signed with Alabama on December 3, 2025, on early national signing day. He enrolled early with the Crimson Tide in January and took part in spring training, summer workouts, and fall camp. During his recruiting process, he took official visits to USF, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.
No. 8 Alabama will host South Carolina on Saturday, September 26, in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.
