Bama Theatre Nostalgic Blockbusters Posters

According to Kevin Ledgewood, who runs publicity for The Arts Council, the nostalgia focus for the series was picked because the Arts Council wanted to “try something a little different, a little new.”

Ledgewood confirmed that the “response from general public has been very positive,” especially from Tuscaloosa locals who grew up with these films.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Bama Theatre box office prior to each showing.

All showtimes are 7 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m. The Bama Bar will also open at 6 p.m. and will feature soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, popcorn and candy.

Ticket prices range according to individual status:

  • General Audiences: $10
  • Students and Seniors: $9
  • Arts Council Members: $8

Guests can also purchase a season pass punch card for $70. This punch card is good for 10 individual screenings, plus can be used for multiple guests at a single showing.

More details—and trailers for each movie—can be found online at the Bama Theatre website.
