Collin Sexton Delivers a 40 Piece To The Brooklyn Nets

A 42-point performance versus the new super squad of the NBA may serve as the coming out party for the rest of world, but for us, it was just a matter of time when Collin Sexton would put everything together.

The Young Bull's tenacity, competitive drive, and elite athleticism has been seen first hand by all Tide Hoop fans when he blessed Coleman Coliseum with no look dimes, killer crossovers, and an abundance of buckets.

These weren't empty flashes of brilliance either. Sexton would help quench a six-year tournament drought in 2018 while taking home honors such as SEC Rookie of the Year, All- SEC Team, and All-SEC Tourney selections.

Oh, and he gave us one of the most iconic moments in Tide Basketball history.

Fast forward a couple of months and Collin is selected No. 8 overall to Cleveland Cavilers and he disappears from the national news cycle. An occasional highlight or trade rumor would surface but nothing stuck. He had fallen under the shadows of the phenoms of his draft classmates Luka Doncic and Trae Young.

But while we was sleep, the Young Bull was working.

Honing in on his shooting ability, shot selection, and change of pace all contributed to his exponential rise as a promising guard in the league. While averaging 27 points on 54% from the field and 50% from deep he's making his case for Most Improved Player and an All-Star nod as we speak.

Wednesday night the Young Bull outdueled three future Hall of Famers and gave them all work.

Had I not been paying attention I would've thought I was watching an old Burger King commercial cause Sexton let them have it anyway they wanted.
