Conor Talty Named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Veteran Alabama kicker Conor Talty was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week after another perfect game against the Florida State Seminoles.
Talty is perfect through three games this season, capping his start with three field goals against the Florida State Seminoles. He scored Alabama's first six points of the game on a 32-yard field goal and a 43-yard field goal. Talty added his third kick of the day with a 45-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter.
Talty also made all five extra points he attempted on the day, accounting for 14 of Alabama's 50 points scored on Saturday against the Seminoles. On the season, Talty has scored 39 total points, making all eight field goal attempts, including four from 40+ yards.
No. 8 Alabama will host South Carolina on Saturday, September 26, in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.
