Construction Error Causes Water Shutoff in Northport

A construction error has resulted in water outages across Northport this morning.

The City of Northport says a contractor hit a water main on Union Chapel Road which resulted in a water shut off in the Highway 69 North and Watermelon Road area. Water service will be restored as soon as possible.
