As offensive attacks have evolved in college football so too have the efforts on the defensive side of the ball, and not always for the better.

Former New York Giants linebacker Corey Miller, father of former Crimson Tide and current Carolina Panthers linebacker Christian Miller, joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to break down the many ways defensive football has changed over the years.

During the conversation Miller breaks down the evolution of football, particularly the defensive side of the ball since his playing days, the impact of the RPO, the targeting rule, and if fast-scoring offenses harm their own defenses.

He also discusses his son Christian Miller's experience under Nick Saban, the importance of positive outside influence on the Crimson Tide program, Lawrence Taylor, and the meanest, toughest offensive lineman he faced in the NFL.
