What a game! The Crimson Tide holds strong against the Bulldogs in what could’ve been the upset of the year. Alabama played a rather well put together game against Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs as Alabama puts another win on the board.

This game got out of hand early on with Alabama taking a demanding lead on the Bulldogs early on in the game. The Bulldogs almost made an impressive comeback before Alabama was able to intercept the ball with under 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter, sealing the game at 41-34.

In the post-game interview Coach Deboer says, “Tip the cap to Georgia, they’re a heck of a football team and we pushed each other till the very end.” Reports asked about the freshman Duo to seal the game for Alabama Deboer stated, “It says a lot, says mentally that they’re well ahead of their time…there’s a belief that not only they have in themselves, but we all do.” Deboer continued with, “they’re play makers, they battle, they grind…” Reporters asked Deboer how he felt about Jalen Milroe tonight, stating Milroe almost having 500 total yards on offense. “He played exceptional…the offensive line did a good job of protecting him.”

He continues by saying, “He’s a weapon out there, he’s doing it both through the air and his feet and he’s tough to game plan against when on the other side.” “Jalen did a good job of reading the space and reading the coverages.”, Deboer said. “That’s what I love” When asked about Georgia’s comeback from being down 28 points, Deboer replied, “When you face an excellent football team, you know there’s going to be a strong push, that’s what I would expect from us if we were ever in a spot we were going to fight to the very end.”

When asked about Kendrick Law having to come out of the game, Deboer cited a lower body injury to the wide receiver. Towards the end of the press conference, Deboer was asked about Milroe’s leadership to be able to make those plays towards the end, to which Deboer responded, “He put the ball where he needed to, and I think it’s one of the areas he really improved…it’s also the receivers being on the same page as him.”

The Crimson Tide pull off the win against the Bulldogs in what was the biggest game talked about this season. A big win for the city of Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama as they continue their undefeated season knocking off the number two ranked Georgia Bulldogs.
