DeBoer Will Need a New ILB Coach... Maybe

Alabama football will make a change at inside linebackers coach. There is a chance new DC Kane Wommack could fill that role, but that remains to be seen.

Former assistant coach Robert Bala posted to X, the app formerly known as Twitter:

"Thankful for the opportunity. It's been real, will always rock with the #RollTide."

Bala was a part of former coach Nick Saban's staff for just one season, serving as inside linebackers coach.

Bala has prior experience as a defensive analyst at Liberty and was set to be a linebackers coach for the Flames before he took the Alabama job.

Wommack, most recently the head coach at South Alabama, could be the new linebackers coach as well for Kalen DeBoer, who runs a 4-2-5 defense.
