Derrion Reid, a former five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American has struggled with injury since Alabama opened SEC play. He has not played since Alabama's 90-69 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs at home and has missed seven games since the start of December for the Crimson Tide.

Reid, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound freshman from Grovetown, Georgia, is averaging 7.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game for Alabama. His top performance came on December 14 against Creighton, scoring 12 points in 21 minutes while shooting 60% from the field.

Reid has missed the last two games for Alabama but is a game-time decision according to Alabama head coach Nate Oats.

"Looks a lot better than he has the last month or so," Oats said on Friday.

Oats also confirmed Reid has been able to participate in live action during Alabama's practice, which ran long on Friday ahead of the No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Reid was held scoreless in Alabama's victory over Georgia, and his last double-digit scoring performance came on January 11 against Texas A&M, where he scored 11 points in 15 minutes.
