Derrion Reid to Miss Third Straight Game
Tuscaloosa, AL. - It is almost time for tip-off between Alabama and Vanderbilt, as the Crimson Tide is hosting the Commodores inside Coleman Coliseum for Alabama's sixth game in SEC play. Alabama (15-3, 4-1) defeated Kentucky 102-97 in Rupp Arena on Saturday, while Vanderbilt (15-3, 3-2) defeated Tennessee at home in a big upset 76-75.

The Crimson Tide secured its big victory over the Wildcats without contributions from one of its top true freshmen. Derrion Reid missed his second straight game and third overall this season in Alabama's win over Kentucky. The Crimson Tide will have to win while being shorthanded once again, as Derrion Reid is set to miss his third straight game, and fourth overall this season, against Vanderbilt.
Reid has missed Alabama's victory over Texas A&M, its loss to Ole Miss, and the victory over Kentucky. He also missed Alabama's 105-82 win over South Dakota State with an ankle injury earlier this season.
In the three victories between South Dakota State and Texas A&M, Reid averaged 16.7 minutes per game while scoring 10.3 points per game so far in SEC play for Alabama.
Alabama will also be without Houston Mallette and Latrell Wrightsell Jr., with reports indicating a potential medical redshirt for Mallette this season.
Tip-off between Alabama and Vanderbilt is slated for 6:00 p.m. CT.
