Injuries played a crucial role in derailing the Alabama Crimson Tide football program's hunt for an 18th National Championship in 2019. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, linebackers Joshua McMillan and Dylan Moses, and defensive lineman LaBryan Ray are just a few of the players who missed significant time last season.

Dr. David Chao, the Pro Football Doc, joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to discuss Tagovailoa's injury, and many of the other injuries that have hampered the Crimson Tide over the years.

During the conversation, Dr. Chao discusses  how he came to be a presence online and on social media, his initial reaction and swift breakdown of Tua Tagovailoa's hip injury, and how Tagovailoa's rehab has progressed and if he'll be ready to play this fall. Dr. Chao also answers the question: is the NFL team that drafts Tua Tagovailoa taking a big risk?

He also touches on the prevalence of ligament and tendon injuries in football, what can be done to prevent injuries, and his thoughts on the tight rope procedure for high ankle sprains.
