Entering My Senior Year, Most Memorable Games As a Student
As I enter my senior year at The University of Alabama, unfortunately in the midst of a pandemic, I begin to reflect on all the games I've attended as a student here. Walking into Bryant Denny Stadium for the first time as a freshmen gives off a huge boost of serotonin and still does.
The first game I attended was the Florida State vs. Alabama game at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta back in 2017. It was the first game of the season and I didn't know what to expect. I met so many different people and went to different tailgates and knew that it would foreshadow my four years here. I had the best time watching the Crimson Tide dominate the Seminoles 24-7.
From amazing night games to those early morning 11 am games, I've had amazing experiences watching Alabama play. With Alabama comes tradition and what's better than watching Alabama beat Tennessee the third Saturday of October and the stadium going wild as they light cigars? Oh, I know what's better. In 2018, when we hosted the Iron Bowl and I got to watch Auburn get absolutely destroyed, yes that's way better. But you know what's best of all and tops every single one of those? When I got to watch Tua Tagavailoa throw a 41-yd TD pass to Devonta Smith and win the 2017 National Championship in Atlanta against the Georgia Bulldogs. That is still the best moment of my college career so far and I have had plenty!
I have had my fair share of attending football games whether they be home or away. I am lucky to be a student at The University of Alabama and wouldn't trade it for the world.
Now as a senior, I am getting ready to watch the Tide crush their opponents this upcoming season as the conference starts on Sept. 26 with the first game against Missouri. With all of the madness and not being able to attend every game this year, I am still greatly appreciative of the opportunity we have to still see the Crimson Tide roll. Roll Tide to that!
