ESPN’s Andy Katz Previews Selection Sunday [Audio]

Selection Sunday is a few days away as ESPN’s Andy Katz stepped Inside the Locker Room to survey the 2016 NCAA Tournament landscape.

Katz mentioned that the unbalanced schedules in conferences like the SEC and the Big 10 present challenges for the NCAA Selection Committee during their evaluation process .

One in-state team that Katz highlighted has a chance to make the NCAA Tournament but could use a conference tournament title to secure a bid.

UAB won the regular season championship in Conference USA with a 26-5 overall record but has an RPI of 74 according to the NCAA’s RPI ranking.

The field of 68 will be unveiled Sunday evening.
