Evan Neal Declares for NFL Draft
Alabama OL Evan Neal has officially declared for the 2022 NFL Draft, leaving the Crimson Tide with a major hole to fill on the offensive line.
Rated as the top left tackle in the upcoming class by many, Neal could become Nick Saban's first number one overall selection in his career.
The former five-star out of IMG Academy in Florida was a three-year starter for Alabama, beginning his career at right guard before moving to right tackle in his sophomore season and ultimately finishing up his career as the anchor of the offensive line at left tackle.
In his three seasons, Neal helped the Tide to two college football playoff appearances, winning in 2020, and cemented his place as a premier prospect on the biggest stage.
The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the number one pick in this year's draft, and having taken two edge rushers with back-to-back first round selections in 2019 and 2020, are in play for the skilled tackle.
Nick Saban has accomplished a lot in his time as head coach, winning seven national titles and sending countless talent to the NFL, but a first overall selection has eluded the legendary coach throughout his entire career.
Will Evan Neal break the mold and be Saban's first overall selection?
