Five Former Alabama Players Sign Undrafted Free Agent Deals After NFL Draft
The NFL draft wrapped up on Saturday afternoon with rounds four, five, six, and seven, where the Crimson Tide had seven players drafted. Alabama ended the draft tied for the second-most draft picks from one school with 10, trailing only Ohio State, which had 11.

After the draft, five former Alabama players signed undrafted free agent deals with NFL teams, meaning that while they went undrafted in the seven-round NFL draft over the weekend, teams are still interested in adding them to their roster for the upcoming season and allowed them to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster.
Offensive lineman Kam Dewberry, who started 13 games and appeared in 14 for Alabama last season at left guard, signed a deal with the Atlanta Falcons, which he posted on his social media following the draft. The only game Dewberry missed for the Crimson Tide was the SEC championship.
Fellow offensive lineman Jaeden Roberts, who played in 10 games with four starts for Alabama in 2025, signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Joining Roberts in Philadelphia is former Alabama linebacker Deontae Lawson, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Many were surprised when Lawson went undrafted. Lawson was a permanent team captain for Alabama, starting all 15 games in 2025, and finished with 89 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks during his final season in Tuscaloosa.
Zenitz also reported that former Alabama linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green is signing with the Los Angeles Rams, the third former Alabama player the Rams added this offseason after they drafted Ty Simpson in the first round and Tim Keenan III in the seventh round. Hill-Green finished the 2025 season with 54 tackles and two forced fumbles for the Crimson Tide.
Former Alabama defensive back DaShawn Jones signed a UDFA contract with the New Orleans Saints, his representation, Equity Sports, posted on social media. Jones played in 13 games with seven starts for the Crimson Tide in 2025, ending the season with 20 tackles, two pass breakups, a pick-six, and a tackle for loss.
