Five Star Offensive Lineman On His Way To Tuscaloosa

Five-star offensive guard Michael Carroll officially signs to the University of Alabama on national signing day. The 6'5 290-pound offensive lineman from IMG Academy was a highly sought-after recruit in the class of 2025. Carroll accrued 24 offers from Division 1 FBS schools, eight of those offers being from SEC programs, nine from BIG10 Programs, five from ACC programs, and one offer each from the BIG12 and the AAC.

The Five-Star guard received an offer from the Crimson Tide on February 28, 2024, and made his official visit on June 7, 2024, he committed three days later on June 10, 2024. Despite visiting other schools Carroll signed his letter of intent today making him an official member of this program.

Carroll transferred after his junior year and finished his senior season with the IMG Academy Ascenders, who only had two losses this season.

Director of scouting for 247sports.com, Andrew Ivins, writes in his report:

"A de facto forklift in the middle that has a chance to be special with his mass, balance, and physicality...Arguably the best puller in the 2025 cycle as he fires out of his stance and looks to tattoo defenders while climbing up the field. Rather clean in pass sets at this stage as he uses a wide base and big-man agility to lock up assignments...Overall, should be viewed as a potential difference maker at the point of attack and the next can’t-miss offensive line prospect to come out of IMG Academy."

There are high hopes for this recruiting class coming in next year as National Signing Day continues.
