Five-Star Offensive Tackle De-Commits From Alabama
The Alabama Crimson Tide took a hit to its 2025 recruiting class on Monday, with five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood de-committing from Alabama after being committed to the Crimson Tide since July 2024.

Haywood, a five-star offensive tackle from Ryan High School in Denton, Texas, originally committed to the Crimson Tide over Oklahoma.
Rated as the No. 20 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, Haywood's de-commitment has been in the works for months behind the scenes. A lot of positive momentum behind the scenes has worked in the favor of the Michigan Wolverines, who defeated Alabama 19-13 in the Reliaquest Bowl on December 31.
Haywood took an official visit to Alabama on May 31 after receiving an offer from the previous coaching staff in May 2023.
Alabama is still ranked as a top-three recruiting class in 2025, signing two five-stars during the early signing period and adding 21 total players in the 2025 recruiting class, with another eight players committing to Alabama via the 2024 winter transfer portal window.
