Five Tide Players Named AP All-Americans
Five members of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team were named AP All-Americans.
Will Anderson was the lone player named to the First-Team. The linebacker recorded 51 total tackles (24 solo, 27 assisted), 17 tackles for loss for 72 yards, ten sacks for 54 yards, two passes defended, one interception for 25 yards, and a touchdown.
Brian Branch was the only Crimson Tide player to make the Second-Team. The defensive back recorded 78 total tackles (47 solo, 31 assisted), ten tackles for loss for 34 yards, two sacks for 11 yards, one interception, two quarterback hits, and a punt returned for a touchdown.
Jordan Battle, Kool-Aid McKinstry, and Jahmyr Gibbs made the Third-Team.
Battle recorded 62 total tackles (30 solo, 32 assisted), two passes defended, and two pass breakups.
McKinstry recorded 34 total tackles (29 solo, five assisted), two tackles for loss for 16 yards, one sack for 12 yards, one interception, and 13 passes defended. He also had 20 punt return attempts for 317 yards and one kick return for four yards.
Gibbs recorded 136 rush attempts for 850 yards and seven touchdowns as well as 42 receptions for 378 yards and three touchdowns. He also attempted ten kick returns for 223 yards.
