According to 104.5 ESPN, the New Orleans Saints hired former Alabama, LSU, and Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis.

Davis has spent significant time in the SEC:

1995-1997: Graduate assistant at LSU
2002-2005: Assistant strength and conditioning coach at LSU
2007-2010: Defensive line coach at Alabama
2011-2013: Defensive tackles coach at Texas
2014-2015: Defensive line coach at Alabama
2021-2023: Defensive line coach at Texas
2024: Defensive line coach at LSU

He was viewed as one of college football's most intense yet effective defensive line coaches. During his second tenure at Alabama, he helped develop first-round picks Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne, who are known for their vocal leadership.

Throughout his tenure with Alabama, LSU, and Texas, Davis has won three national championships, four SEC championships, and one Big 12 Championship.

While at Texas, he developed five draft picks along the defensive line with one first-round pick and one second-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

Now, Davis will take over a New Orleans Saints defensive line that needs some help after posting only 39 sacks in the 2024 season and was 31st in the NFL with 141.4 rush yards per game allowed.

Davis spent 2024 as a member of Brian Kelly's staff at LSU, helping to bring the LSU defensive line back to the standard of excellence expected in Tiger Stadium.

The Saints committed Bayou on Bayou crime, with LSU now searching for a new defensive line coach.
