Following the CFP Selection show on Sunday, Odom revealed that the 6' 5 tight end who converted to wide receiver would be entering the transfer portal after spending a season with the Crimson Tide.

Odom was a 5 Star Tight End in Alabama's 2023 recruiting class, which ranked first in the nation, according to On3. The former 5-star commit didn't produce much for the Tide in his freshman season, totaling 7 receptions and 65 receiving yards after playing in all 12 games. Odom's best game in terms of production came in Alabama's season opener against Western Kentucky when he made 2 receptions for 23 yards.

Colorado was one of the first teams to bring the 6 foot 5 227 pound wide receiver to campus for a visit when he entered the transfer portal. Deion Sanders, who is in his second season with Colorado, is attempting to keep his club competitive by signing Odom's former high school quarterback, Class of 2025 5 star Julian Lewis, who signed with the Buffs in November. Lewis and Odom were teammates in 2023 at Carrolton High School in Carrolton, Georgia, when Odom racked up 748 yards and 12 touchdowns on 46 catches.

Odom has consistently expressed interest in Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes. During his recruitment in 2023, the Alabama transfer shared his final seven teams on X, and Colorado was among them. Coach Sanders and the Buffaloes are looking to bring in the former Crimson Tide wide receiver to help fill the gap left by Heisman candidate Travis Hunter, who will be entering the draft this year.
